Meet Andrea

Andrea is a Psychotherapist who completed her Graduate Diploma in Analytic Psychotherapy at The Churchill Clinic and has more than 30 years experience working on a one-to-one basis with people. She is flexible, non-judgemental, nurturing, welcoming, open minded, fun-loving and professional.

Andrea works in both private practice and in a not-for-profit organisation with vulnerable adults and young people – and is currently employed as a Counsellor at a training organisation, where she provides counselling and support services to students from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

Volunteering with Homelessness We Care Perth came after a long search for the “right” organisational fit for Andrea, as it is important for her to be involved for humanitarian reasons. She embodies a philosophy of equality, acceptance and of worthiness without prerequisites. Andrea believes that food and shelter are basic human rights and responds simply as a human, particularly to those who are experiencing scarcity.

Andrea lives with her long-term partner and two children in the suburbs of Perth. She was born and raised in Perth and is the youngest of six
children. She likes to cook, read (loves Audible Books), follows the A-League, enjoys a good drama on TV and truly appreciates her friendships.

She finds joy in sharing a meal around her dining table.

I am now a member of the board, helping behind the scenes as we grow as a charity and as part of a team who really care.

Over and above, she loves to laugh and enjoys a good chat. Andrea always welcomes a bit of mischief!
